The Peoples Orchestra 

The People’s Orchestra is all about passion, excellence and fun – the players need to be passionate about their music, but they need to enjoy themselves and their audiences need to enjoy themselves as well. Andy Sandham has chosen a repertoire that will be orchestral, but more accessible – think, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, ‘Lord of the Rings’, ‘Harry Potter’.
 
And out goes the tuxedo to be replaced by vibrant coloured T-shirts for The People’s Orchestra first concert on November 4th, at the Adrian Boult Hall, Birmingham.

Employment Workability Programme

A programme to provide information, support and encouragement, ensuring enhanced CV creation and better use of social media.
There will also be presentations about job hunting essential activity and offer networking opportunities with local employers.

Volunteering, Work Experience and Internships

At TCC we want to help and support young people who are looking for work.  We are committed to engaging with our community and developing local talent and skills.  Through our work experience placements we aim to provide young jobseekers with a positive experience of the working world.

We understand that for some young people a lack of understanding of the working world is a significant barrier to finding and sustaining employment.  We work with Jobcentre Plus to offer young jobseekers the opportunity to overcome this barrier through our work experience placements.  For those who lack experience, the chance to undertake real work and adjust to the routines and habits of working life can significantly improve their employment prospects.
