Funders

At The Change Consortium we work with funders in a number of ways:

  • Supporting the development of community based organisations to develop projects of real social value.
  • Highlighting and brokering opportunities for funders to meet and support businesses that are ready for social investment
  • Delivering large scale projects that can have significant impact in Birmingham and the Black Country

TCC has secured funding from various funding streams including Big Lottery, ESF, Skills Funding Agency and West Midlands Police Authority

Current projects ready for investment:

1) The People's Orchestra

Vision: Our vision is to inspire and communicate through excellent, innovative music making in the international, national and local spheres. To build a reputation to become a leader in live orchestral film and show music performances as well as becoming a service provider of leading education and community training programmes. The People's Orchestra aims to be unique in the integrity, depth of work and the quality of its performance.

The mission is supported by four mutually reinforcing elements:

  • Artistic excellence: to strive for orchestral excellence in everything we do
  • Audience development: to encourage audience development and engagement
  • Education: continued musicianship through generational skills development, training, education and community programs
  • Financial stability: fiscal responsibility for long-term stability

The dedicate website for the project can be found HERE

Patron, James Morris MP, Lord King of West Bromwich

2) Smarter Working Choices (SWC)

Vision: Creating and delivering a programme of innovative and sustainable business support for private, public and third sector organisations. Working with businesses to create jobs and work with prospective employees people who experience barriers to work (e.g. carers; disability; long term unemployed) to become ‘job ready’ and fill those new jobs.
