Building Better Opportunities is a fund run by the National Lottery with matched funds from the European Social Fund for projects across England that tackle poverty and promote social inclusion.
In selected areas lead delivery partners have contracts in the region of £25million plus from the National Lottery and (or in partnership with) a managing authority the DWP
The aim of the partnership is to engage the most disadvantaged, workless people in the Black Country aged 25 years old and over with significant barriers to employment and connect them with specialist Activities in their local area. The Partnership will provide a multi-faceted programme specifically designed to reach Participants who have previously ‘fallen through the cracks’ of current Activities, by delivering appropriate interventions necessary to help them progress closer to employment, whilst adding value and enhancing provision already available to them.
